Are Restylane® Treatments Limited To The Face?
No, but the face is the most common area we treat with Restylane®. In addition to the lips, standard areas of treatment are the frown lines (between the eyebrows), and the deep folds that some people have from nose to mouth. Restylane® can also be used under the eyes to eliminate unsightly dark circles.

Do Restylane® Treatments Hurt?
Our clients have always been pleasantly surprised at the relative painlessness of the Restylane® injections. In addition to the expertise of our staff at giving the tiny injections and the silk-like fineness of the needles, we use ice before and after injections, plus an anesthetic prior to treatment.

Are Restylane® Treatment Results Immediate?
Yes, you will see the results immediately upon treatment. Please note that there is usually a period of redness or swelling that can last from a few hours to a couple of days, after which the final result is evident.

How Long Does Each Restylane® Treatment Last?
A Restylane® treatment lasts for about 6 months in areas such as the nasolabial folds and creases between the eyebrows, at which time a follow-up treatment is recommended. Under-eye treatments tend to last as long as 8 months.

What Exactly Is Restylane®?
Restylane® is a safe and natural dermal filler made from a substance already in our bodies, called hyaluronic acid. The hyaluronic acid in Restylane®, called Non-Animal Stabilized Hyaluronic Acid (NASHA) is completely biocompatible with human hyaluronic acid. This somewhat thick acid naturally acts as a lubricant as well as a filler, and maintains its shape using the body's own moisture. The hyaluronic acid in Restylane® is hydrophilic or "water loving", and its ability to bind to water is what helps provide lasting results.

Is Restylane® Safe?
Yes. Unlike rooster-derived hyaluronic acids and bovine collagen products, Restylane® is free from animal proteins. This limits any risk of animal-based disease transmissions or development of allergic reactions to animal proteins.
